MENTORING SUPPORT

The ARTIE Academy provides mentoring support across the program by dedicated ARTIE Academy Education Coordinators. Our individual mentoring will seek to increase the attendance levels and school participation for participating students.

Education Coordinators visit schools weekly to track the attendance of the students in the Academy and meet with students one on one to work through any barriers that may be preventing attendance or engagement at school.

Education Coordinators create strong relationships with teachers and support staff in the school to create a holistic approach to mentoring students. Weekly meetings are conducted with selected students to identify barriers and to build positive and effective relationships.

With student confidence being a paramount consideration, coordinators effectively work with individuals to set achievable individualised goals. Furthermore these one on one relationships can extend to additional support inside the classroom.
